There are a lot of great caches in the Portland area, and it would be impossible if visiting, to hit them all. We are also close to some of the most beautiful areas of the Northwest with the Columbia River Gorge, and the Mount Hood National Forest about an hour east of us. Like the Portland area, there are some fantastic caches here too. We have made an effort therefore to list here links to some of our favorites. Whether you are looking for something more urban, or a place out away from the city, these lists are a compilation of caches that have been voted upon by local cachers as exceptional in the categories listed below. Those voted upon can be accessed at one of the links above.

  • Don't Miss - Exceptional caches that are an absolute must see. These caches have gained a cult standing here in Portland. They may be popular in other categories below.
  • Family - Family or child friendly caches with easy hikes and or hides. They may be relatively stroller friendly, and may be located near kid friendly attractions.
  • Puzzle - Great puzzle caches that may require a little work at home before actually setting out to find.
